The much-hyped "Chaos in the Ring" was finally decided at the early hours of May 2 2026 at the Federal Palace Hotel Lagos.
Carter Efe, the self-styled "African Number One Streamer," proved that "Warri no dey carry last" isn’t just a slogan, it’s a lifestyle.
Despite Portable’s pre-fight bravado and trademark theatrics, it was Carter Efe who delivered a measured and effective performance, securing a victory via unanimous decision.
Portable felt he had done enough to retain his title. Coming off previous wins against Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington, the Zazu King was so overconfident he began prematurely celebrating before the official verdict was even read. His celebratory fist-pumping, proved to be a classic case of counting chickens before they hatch; pure “ghara ghara” that the judges rightly ignored.
However, Carter’s reaction to the win was almost eerie. Instead of a wild celebration, he looked dazed, as if still processing the deft "Agbe" blows he received from Portable during the fight.
He looked genuinely rattled, perhaps those "spiritual" strikes from the Zazu camp are finally starting to kick in.
Only time will tell if Carter’s next stop is a victory party or a traditional healing home to shake off that Zazu vibration.
