YEESSI empiwers youths with loan, German Scholarship, laptops, project sponsorship as prizes

Youth Enlightenment Empowerment And Self-Sustainability Initiative (YEESSI), an NGO based in Ibadan and Germany organized its yearly youth Empowerment initiative on the 14th of February, 2026 at the lecture theater of the Federal College of Agriculture, Moor Plantation, Apata, Ibadan.
This year's event was tagged "Pitch Up Your Startup Innovative Tech Idea"
According to the founder of the NGO, Kazeem Ojoye, the initiative is meant to harness young talents and groom them to be able to fit into the digital world while also at par with their counterparts internationally.

Notable dignitaries who graced the event include Hon. Akinshete Olakunle (SSA to Oyo state governor on housing and urban matters), Oduyemi Omowunmi Helen, who represented the Senior Special Assistant to Oyo state governor on Local government and chieftaincy matters (Hon. Chief Mrs. Ramata Agberemi Dabo), Segun Akanbi (MD, Lukeport), Ms Olowookere (a digital expert), Mogaji Abiodun Adeyemi, Chief Adefiwope Diekola, Mrs Temitope Fashina (Financial secretary of YEESSI).

The event commenced at around 11:30am and was anchored by the renowned broadcast journalist, Amb. Demola SANYAOLU.
Twenty two young and creative participants pitched up their tech ideas and three of them came out with quite brilliant innovation that could solve practical problems.
Dada Daniel was the third position.  He came reluctantly all the way from Saki in Oyo and got a new laptop to support his idea.

2nd position was Olowookere Abdulquoyum who came up with a tech solution for pregnant women.  He has been nominated for the e-360° support to be in Germany for further studies in his tech idea. The SSA on local government and chieftaincy matters is also supporting his idea.
The first prize was won by the AQUACULTURE team who came up with an outstanding tech idea to support fish farmers.  They will get access to a 5 million Naira loan which will be guaranteed by the SSA on local government and chieftaincy matters alongside free marketing and access to 500 farmers to patronize their initiative.  They will also be connected with the impact hub.
There was giveaways and raffle draws with guest in attendance getting power banks, phones and phone chargers.
According to the founder, Mr Kazeem Ojoye, the event will scale up and he needs philanthropists to support with helping Nigerian youths to harness their creative prowess.
