Former Deputy Governor, Chief Iyiola Oladokun, Felicitate with Olubadan designate, Kabiyesi Adewolu Ladoja

Former Deputy Governor (to Lam Adesina), and Chairman of the All Peoples Congress Advisory Council, Oyo State, Chief Iyiola Oladokun, has congratulated the new Olubadan, Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, wishing him longevity,good health, and peaceful reign.

Chief Oladokun, who also prayed that God will give him wisdom to rule the people of Ibadanland, observed that the new Olubadan has all it takes for good governance before ascending the throne. 

"Ibadanland is lucky to have former the Governor Ladoja as the new Olubadan, an industrialist, political leader and business mogul , who has travelled all over the world and acquired experience in all facets of life," he added . The former Deputy Governor observed that despite going through turbulent political journey and taking him decades to climb the Olubadan ladder, former Governor Ladoja remained unshaken , a good leadership quality that a traditional ruler of his calibre needed to lead the people.

Barrister Oladokun noted that being a principled person, brave, articulate, and a man who cherished culture, the new Olubadan should bring dignity to traditional institutions and unite our traditional rulers, in Yoruba land.

Chief Oladokun, who lamented that out of envy ,our traditional rulers were relegated by the colonial masters, who unfortunately entrenched this into inherited British legal system.

He therefore appealed to the new Olubadan , to use his links as former Senator and Governor to work closely with all relevant arms of government so as to correct this anomaly, and ensure that our traditional rulers are truly recognised, respected and protected by the lawof the land.
