She has come into National limelight baring her breast on the back of the unethical and unprofessional treatment meted to her by some people, I will not mention before they ban me from going to my homeland.
Her case was so bad that it generated national angst leading to her immediate release and other such sundry offers.
To date, she has been reportedly offered a job in Delta state, an all-expense-paid trip to Doha, and many, many things.
Then, her father came on stage. Ohhh is it because he is poor, is it because he has no body, is it because he has no influence and, as he was ranting, I was looking at him intently and his circumstances😟
Papa Comfort is the typical dislocated Nigerian. A bonafide member of the urban poor who has been put at anywhere from 60 to N80m people 👀.
He didn't look well-fed and was of a subsistence existence.
His sole tailoring machine was strapped beside him, with swaths of customers' clothes that were a little bit better than rags and a house that was a little better than a hut.
Now juxtapose this with the lady that was bundled out of the aircraft by a bunch of very unprofessional operatives.
We know the cost of the wig, the cost of the phone and the general maintenance cost of that person as compared to a fraction of that cost needed by her father to better his circumstances.
This leads us to the issue of economic entrapment and the struggle of the girl child to leverage her feminine wiles to escape the horrendous poverty trap in this country.
Comfy represents a large number of young females between the age demography of 16 to 45.
The vast majority of these females are born Institutionally poor, with varying levels of deprivation and exposed to all sort of abuses both sexual and otherwise.
This demographic today form the bastion of the rudder that hold the economy.
For the ones who have decided to get structured engagements, they work long hours, run SMEs and basically are engaged in services, fashion and beauty, logistics, media and hospitality amongst others.
The other set live the fast life, parlay their bodies under different guises all in a bid to grab their own share and force themselves out of the endemic poverty trap they were born into.😟
A lot have empowered their birth families and those around them - building houses, taking care of their health, setting up businesses and generally diverting resources home👊.
They are now the bread winners, taking over from their fathers, educating the younger ones and generally just being the 'man' of the house😍.
This is what Nigeria has turned our 'girls' into-economic agents who have to struggle using all their God given asset to plough.😭
Back to Comfy, from what I saw of the father, It is very clear that she fits very perfectly into the scenario I have just described but unlike her mates, she does not seem to have any plans of empowering her father or helping his circumstances😭😭😭.
Paddling around with a multi million Naira phone and hopping in and out of Planes at the costs they go for these days, while the Dad is basically just doing 'Obioma' is a red flag.🚩
Granted, she reserves the right to spend her earnings any how she deems fit, it is still 'one kind' to have your father in such a state while you galivant in some of the most expensive fineries🚩
I would not want this article to be about her but to be seen to be addressing an issue that is very endemic in Nigeria today.🇳🇬
Since the State has lost its will to build a welfare buffer for the dislocated and we have inadvertently thrown up a new army of economic agents who peddle their feminine nuances as a vehicle for economic emancipation, then we must as a matter of necessity start begging these people to also look back home as they dispense their lucre✈️.
I knw you will say - is it not their money and what concern you and I will say go and look through Comfy's social media handle and then look at her father's video and then draw your own conclusions, let me kuku just keep shut.🤑
No mind me, na busy body do me this morning😷🧐
Come and beat me🚶♂️🚶♂️
