The nonpartisan, pan Yoruba sociocultural NGO, Yoruba Koya Leadership & Training Foundation, has congratulated the president-elect of the just concluded presidential election in Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu after the competitive contest at the polls. According to the President of the NGO, Otunba Giwa Deji Osibogun, Tinubu fought the good fight.
The congratulatory message reads as follows:
The Yoruba Koya Leadership and Training Foundation (YKLTF), hereby congratulate you on the hard won victory at the just concluded Presidential election of 25th February, 2023.
Sir, you have really fought a good fight and we thank GOD that he has crowned your efforts as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
A new journey has started not only in your life but we believe in the lives of Nigerians as well.
Sir, your eyes must be focused on Nigeria's development across all geo political zones and this, we will contribute to, with our presentation of the National Development Agenda (NATDA), that speaks to speedy development across the six (6) geo political zones of Nigeria concurrently.
It is a development that speaks to the ability of each of the zones to speedily develop in relation to areas that they hold comparative advantages.
Nigeria must develop at a speed that puts the Country right in the middle of the 21st Century concurrently.
There must be a gargantuan leap in infrastructural development, cutting through railway transportation, super highways, efficient power generation, effective health care delivery, an unprecedented industrial revolution, rejuvenation of agriculture and all that promotes youth employment, aggressive pursuit in functional education for all Nigerians, women empowerment and all other forms of development cutting across each of the States of Nigeria.
We Yorubas are a people more demanding of good governance and we historically do not spare, even our own, on this.
We are an epitome of the "Omoluabi" culture and we will be more demanding to put you on your toes in order for you to achieve the best for all Nigerians, irrespective of race, tribe, religion or gender.
The ball is now squarely in your court , and we are solidly behind you as you deftly and masterfully take Nigeria into the real start of attaining it's desired destiny.
Wounds must be healed. Frayed nerves must be calmed. Broken bones must be binded and peace must be our watchword as a new dawn in renewed hope beckons and prosperity to all Nigerians starts in earnest.
Lastly Sir, security is key and whatever have been missed, Community Policing must be brought back at the top of your agenda, towards bringing peace to reign all over the land-across all zones.
We therefore recommend that you now use your new position to begin amnesty processes for urgent and immediate release of Sunday Adeyemo (Igboho) and Nnamdi Kanu.
