According to the President of Yoruba KoYa Leadership Foundation, Otunba Deji Osibogun, Alaafin, until his demise, was the patron of Yoruba KoYa Leadership and Training Foundation, YKLTF, Alaafin launched this organization at Atiba hall in Oyo in 2017. He encouraged Yorubas to come together and determine ways to respond to the invasion of Yorubaland by Fulani militia posing as herdsmen.
The Alaafin stood and campaigned for a free Yorubaland ruled with good governance, probity and accountability. He promoted equality in Yorubaland.
His good legacies outstrip his human failings which was substituted by his carriage of Royal throne of the Alaafin.
Oba Lamidi Adeyemi 111 was a colossus with a giant mind. A brilliant, knowledgeable being, a citadel of records. Alaafin was indeed the true custodian of Yoruba culture, history and tradition. He had and showed respect to the young and old.
A tactful traditional ruler, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi 111 was a specialist of the 'Oyo Meesi' school of 'diplomacy'; a skill that assisted him to navigate the stormy waters of Yoruba politics and the bitter wars for the unity of Nigeria.
A most respected father and founder of the new Yoruba nation, an innovative progressive and egalitarian nation built on faith, honour and integrity of a hardworking youth.
