Nigerians who are being relegated in their homeland as a result of the skewed political system, often get the limelight beamed on them abroad. This is the case of Adekunle Osibogun as he gets elected and becomes a Council Member at Buckingham East in London, United Kingdom.

Adekunle's father is the renowned broadcaster, founder of the Yorùbá Ko'Ya Leadership and Training Foundation (YKLTF) and chairman of Space Network (Space90.1FM & AfrospaceTV), Otunba Deji Osibogun.
Adekunle, it will be recalled, contested to be a member of the house of representatives from Ogun state but his dream was truncated by the sharks and hawks in Nigeria's decadent and skewed political system, which glorifies mediocrity above honour and integrity. Today, Adekunle, the stone rejected by the builders, has become a chief cornerstone, in a system which prioritizes excellence above mediocrity.

"Adekunle has always been a leader from school rising to be a prefect at primary and secondary schools.
Though he did not participate in students unionisim at the University of Ibadan, he was the club chief of a Socio Cultural group called 'lavenir' to promote the social well being of students on campus while pursuing his 'History degree' at the University of ibadan.

He later proceeded to The Univeristy of Buckingham for his law degree programme. He later became the president of the students union of the University.
While at the Abuja law school, Adekunle again displayed his leadership skills and upon graduation joined the firm of 'Banwo and Ighodalo'.
Always striving to excel, Adekunle set up his law firm 'Osibogun and Partners' and in 2019 won the ticket of SDP to contest the House of Representative seat for Ijebu Ode federal constituency.
He lost that election and by providence he dusted his books and left the shores of Nigeria to study for his Doctorate degree in law at the same Buckingham University.
He was headhunted and listed as candidate of the Conservative Party to contest as a councillor.
He won the election with a landslide margin.
Adekunle is very organised focused, energetic, committed to the uplifting of the society, a dogged fighter, confident, God-fearing and a dedicated family man."
Congratulatory messages have been pouring in since the news broke. Otunba Deji Osibogun in his response to the avalanche of congratulations says he remains eternally grateful to God for Adekunle's amazing victory while he also reiterated that we must make an example of life and give it our best shot.
