[video] Majek Fashek still alive... Amazing!

When you listen to certain music genre, your soul is lifted. Sometimes, tears flow so easily from your eyes.  You cannot but wonder whether the musician uses voodoo or it is simply the rhythm that penetrates the recess of your spirit.

Whitney Houston, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Jim Reeves, Anita Baker and several others have the uncanny skill of speaking their lyrics into your soul.

Another musician with this weird feature is Majek Fashek.  One common trait with all these artistes that makes their songs sensational classics is the attention they give to every word of their songs.  It seems they narrate our life stories in absentia.

Majek Fashek has a rather higher connect with the spirit realm or how would you describe a man who sings "send down the rain" and the clouds obey automatically.  Even while being welcomed to afterlife, the rains poured.

His songs remain evergreen and potent as ever.  His lyrics remain relevant for always. A man whose songs still breathe life cannot be dead.  A man whose message remains prophetically alive cannot be dead.  Indeed Majek Fashek lives on.

Majekodunmi Fasheke, popularly known as Majek Fashek was a Nigerian singer-songwriter and guitarist. He was best known in his home country for the 1988 album Prisoner of Conscience, which included the multiple award-winning single "Send Down the Rain".
