The coronavirus pandemic has shutdown religious activities for over 8 weeks and faithfuls clamour for a reconnect despite advice against such gatherings.
In a twist of events, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has decided to cautiously lift the ban on religious activities in the state.
In the new directive today, Muslim services are to resume on 19th June while Christian worship begins on the 21st of June, 2020.
Children below the age 15 not allowed.
Religious gatherings are restricted to Fridays and Sundays only.
Medical professionals warn individuals above the age of 50 and those with underlying health conditions to avoid crowded gatherings. Keeping the social distancing rules as well as abiding by other safety guidelines remain sacrosanct to avoid being infected.
