Are The Pastors Running Away? - Duke Of Shomolu

They say when an earthquake is coming the animals get restless and start running away. That seems to be what is happening.  It is very clear that Nigerians failing to get reasonable answers from our political leaders will begin to descend on these class of Nigerians to ask them very pertinent questions.  To be very serious, religious leadership have been in partnership with a very corrupt ruling class in the continuous oppression of the people and for their efforts have been given a free reign to enjoy their lucre.

They have leveraged the hypnotic power of spirituality to disarm the people, giving them false hopes and distracting them in their millions from the purposeful pursuit of holding political leaders answerable to the electorate  and the people.  They have instead built a cult that worships wealth, 'dumifying' the people and misdirecting them while preparing them to be herded into cocoons of servitude.

They have amassed tremendous powers, wealth and influence and have lived like Roman Emperors while the people watch very helplessly at the rape of not only their sensibilities but also the pilfering of their hard earned resources  We all witnessed the shameful prophesies that spew during elections, the anointing of candidates, the above the line and below the line support of leaders who now turn into civilian despots in our own very eyes.

They have started drinking tea with God and seeing dreams which have now made them relocate in old age.

It is a beginning. We will soon witness many more. Its very clear that the people are becoming restless. Since they cannot shift the political class who have mastered the art of control and retribution with the access to legitimate force that they have.

So to the people, the Pastoral class is a soft target. Questions have started being asked about the private jets, the huge schools, the massive wealth, assets, factories and all sort.  The story told by one of the biggest GOs of how a billionaire asked for the books, and 'I showed him but warned him that God will deal with him' is laughable and pitiful at the same time.

It clearly shows that Nigerians have started damning the spiritual consequences and have started asking questions. Court cases have also started erupting and all sort of leadership issues aimed at dethroning the monarchical structures of the churches is ongoing

When my Pastor Odukoya passed, there was palpable tension as to his succession . His son, Pastor Jimmy moved fast and claimed leadership on the back of an encounter with his dad on his dying bed. That gave him leadership but I really doubt that this would be the case when he is ready to pass the mantle to his own son. Something tells me that it may not be that easy.

So our Pastors are suddenly fleeing, in trickles yet, the flow will certainly increase as economic hardship tightens and people no longer have the patience to wait to get to heaven to eat and at that point a robust social revolution will erupt

For now, let the dreams continue, let the Plan B be dusted up for certainly, the people will rise.

Thank you

 Duke of Shomolu
