Lagos-Ibadan expressway attacks: Otunba Osibogun calls for collaborative security efforts

With the spate of incessant attacks, kidnappings on Lagos-Ibadan expressway, the president of Yoruba Koya Leadership & Training Foundation, (the nonpartisan, pan-yoruba sociocultural group), Otunba Giwa Deji Osibogun has advised on combined efforts on maintaining safety on the highway.

In a press release, via voicenote, Otunba emphasized the need to curtail the spread of loose criminal elements and miscreants into zones of less resistance because of a lack of tight of security patrol.

Several incidents have occured on same road and it seems the perpetrators are becoming more daring due to poor or zero security presence on the axis.

It would be recalled that Otunba Deji Osibogun also championed the Agodi charter of demands in Ibadan lately where the government is advised to ensure a restructuring which will ensure security of lives and properties as well as a meaningful living standard for the people of the Southwest region of Nigeria.

Otunba Giwa Deji Osibogun has always raised his voice against inhumaneness and government insensitivity to the yearnings of the masses while also championing several empowerment projects to ensure the southwest region and the Yoruba people do not go into extinction.

He believes that if everyone with a modicum of influence can help the region with their widow's mite, the region would be a better place for everyone
