Reports filtering-in from the secretariat of the foremost pan-yoruba, sociocultural NGO, Yoruba Koya Leadership and Training Foundation (YKLTF) has confirmed the demise of the centenarian Agbekoya leader and patron of YKLTF, 'Baba Ayalu'

According to the press release from the global President of Yoruba Koya, Otunba Giwa Deji Osibogun which reads:
Death has occurred in Ibadan, Oyo State, of the 100-year Old leader of the Agbekoya movement in Yorubaland . Baba Ayalu, as he is fondly called, is one of the last heroes of the famous Agbekoya Riots of the 60's. Baba Ayalu in his lifetime was a patriot of Yorubaland rising on several occasions to lend support for the protection and actualization of Yorubaland .
He was the founding President of Yoruba koya movement before it metamorphosed into Yoruba koya leadership and Training foundation where he served as a patron.
Ayalu lived a life full of struggle and spartan discipline. He will be greatly missed as we continue our sojourn for a land of Peace and Plenty for Yorubaland.
He will be buried according to Muslim rites later today ..
