3 Decades of Tenacity; SystemSpecs Celebrates Anniversary - Announces New Companies , Chairman and Others

 SystemSpecs Holdings, Ngeria’s pioneer software house, recently at its 30th year celebration media parley, announced the establishment of two new sister companies as well as the appointment of  Dr Ernest Ndukwe, former Executive Vice Chairman of Nigerian Communications Commission and Chairman of MTN Nigeria, as its Chairman.

According to John Obaro, Group Managing Director (GMD), SystemSpecs Holdings,  “It has been 30 years of God’s grace because  we created new solutions to make enhancements and our customers have been most supportive even when we don’t meet their needs they stayed with us, encouraging us and appreciated the tough circumstances we are working in and that have really helped us. We have done the first 30 years and look forward to the next 30 years with excitement’.

He was elated on how the organization, being part of Nigeria’s successful tech stories, have been able to contribute to the transformation of the financial and human capital technology systems in Africa, especially with Remita, its integrated financial  payment and collections solution; HumanManager (comprehensive payroll and HR management and  Paylink (ecommerce platform).

The company which have been innovation, persistence and meeting the needs of customer, unveiled Remita Payment Services Limited (RPSL) for payment and affiliated services, and SystemSpecs Technology Services Limited(STSL) which will focus on a wide range of technology solutions and services.

Mr Obaro disclosed that SystemSpecs does not look at competition rather has remained focused on  customers and do everything possible to meet their needs.



“One thing we learnt to do is practice business with integrity and one of such is that we don’t go out to get businesses which we are not qualified for. For instance when we looses a deal, we would  rather learn from the transaction and ask how where we not able to overwhelm the customer. Then we improve our platform rather than  try to cut corners. With that by the time we are meeting the next prospect we are in a better position to meet the needs of that customer”, he said.

On the appointments, Dr Ndukwe takes over from Dr Christopher Kolade, former  Ambassador to the United Kingdom, who retired after leading the company through 15 years of exceptional  growth; while Demola Igbalajobi is appointed Managing Director of STSL and ‘Deremi Atanda is the MD of Remita Payment Services Limited.

And as part of the company’s corporate social responsility, the GMD disclosed a year-long initiative to commemorate the anniversary which include the 30th Founders’ Day celebration, the SystemSpecs Graduate Internship Programme, Awareness Health Walk, Anniversary Gala, A Special Children’s Day Essay Competition,  and Summer Coding  Boot Camp.
