Yorubas Worldwide Unite To Talk About History, Culture and Tradition

Marcus Garvey Institute for Human Management and Yoruba Ko'Ya Leadership & Training Foundation(YKLTF), plan an International Colloquium to unite Yorubas worldwide.

In a release signed by the  Director of Media and Publicity  of the Organisation, Amb. Demola SANYAOLU, the Colloquium will have participants from Brazil, Jamaica, Cuba, USA, Canada and other countries with Yoruba people discussing wide ranging topics on Yoruba Traditions Arts & Culture amongst other related issues of interest to Yorubas in the homeland.


The Colloquium is intended to be the first in the series of such which will promote cross cultural ties amongst Yoruba people worldwide, leading to Youth Exchange programmes among the Nations and the exploration of economic and trade ties to boost the homeland economy of the Yorubas.  



The global event is  billed to hold on Saturday, 23rd October, 2021.

The International colloquium will feature the likes of Prof Alison Moses from Brazil, Dr Julius Garvey from Jamaica, Prof Wande Abimbola (based in the USA & Homeland Nigeria), Prof Toyin Falola also based in US, Babalawo Ivanir Dos Santos from Cuba and Dr Mayowa Ogedengbe from USA.



The  Marcus Garvey Institute for Human Development, established in honour of the great black Nationalist, Marcus Garvey, is in collaborative efforts with YKLTF in a major theme and efforts to uniting Yorubas worldwide. (learning, growing and bonding using Yoruba's past and present for future growth.)


The event will be transmitted live from the first trilingual radio station in Nigeria, Space90.1fm and relayed globally via their website on www.thespacefm.com.
