The president of Yorùbá Ko'Ya Leadership and Training Foundation(YKLTF), Otunba Deji Osibogun, in a heartwarming missive, thanked the patron of the foundation, professor Banji Akintoye, for attending the 2-day retreat organized by YKLTF and for his proactive role as a leader in the struggle for the liberation of the Yorùbá nation.

In the letter, titled 'letter of thanks to professor Banji Akintoye, Otunba Osibogun also called the attention of the the sage to a fake news making the rounds about the misconstrued perception of opinion poll sampling. He reiterated that YKLTF will not fall for any cheap blackmail and will not hesitate to take the legal route to forestall image defamation.

I want to thank you very much for your attendance and brilliant presentation at the 2-day retreat of Yoruba Ko'Ya leadership and Training foundation(YKLTF).
Certainly with events like this and the frankness of thoughts and minds, there is light at the end of the tunnel .
I have attached a copy of a press release purportedly from your office at Illana Omo Odua .
The said press release contains threat to life, abuse, expletive language and is said to have been issued by you after the brilliant lecture you delivered at day-one of the 2-day Retreat of Yoruba Ko'Ya leadership and Training Foundation .

The press release goes further threatening to deal decisively with opponents of your view clamouring for referendum.
As a patron of YKLTF, who has always been in our support and leader of Ilana Omo Odua of which Yoruba Ko'Ya has been a member since inception.
This press statement negates in its entirety, all the principles of unity and 'Yorubahood' in the body of your widely circulated letter to the Yoruba Nation and all said at the Retreat.
In the face of "Social Media Maladies", the Yoruba nation owes it a duty to the entire world to set good examples of journalisim in our media world by discouraging all acts of Yellow Journalism, slander, falsehood and calumny as portrayed in the said Press Statement.
YKLTF, of which you are patron, hereby request that you kindly investigate the source of this report as it bears same relevance with an earlier circulated press statement alluding to a 1billion Naira anti-Self Determination funds released by the Presidency (you may please compare the message, diction and theme play of both articles.)
As our leader, a foremost politician, a globally renowned historian, you may need sir, to look into this issue urgently as to avert further damages to an already injured psyche of Yorubaland .
